Lol, you have to ask since many many places are not going to let people know they offer it. A local can walk in and be happy with a flask and a bottle of mixer....a tourist would be fine and happy walking in and buying 3-4 mixers drinks of the same mix at a few times the price.

Helps a bit if you bring your own flask (small bottle of JB/Appleton).

    The Games Ja-Pickneys Play
    .
    Last night,
    my bert-day night,
    'round 'bout 10-pm-ish
as i lounged on my new-new pretty-pretty bamboo *seat* WITH foot-rest,
    and
    basked in the moon-glow,
with a cool-cool breeze blowing over the hills
    and
    looking up
    counting the stars
by the time i got to 1,254 stars
I heard giggling, joyous shouting, likkle happy squeals, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off in the distance,,,,,,,,,,,'bout 175 yards from me & my new chill-spot
    .
    .
    me nose-y,
    so
    i set down my cup-o-tea,
    lit a CravenA
    and strolled down the lane
    to see
    from whence cometh the noise.

    .
    .
    in the distance,
    under a bright street-light
    were 'bout 8-9 children
moving about & making the noise(s)
in the middle of the road

    as i got closer,
i saw there actually only 4 playing '.The Game.'

    The Game
involved a team of 2-pickney each

    in-*theory* the playing *field*
    was laid-out much like a regular foreign/USofA baseball/softball diamond
...with home-plate (which was a stick)
.......and three-other bases at the same baseball diamond points.

    now,
    here's the FUN-part.

there's a ball, duh, of course

BUT:::>> the ball was an empty/used box-drink carton, which I was told was stuff-ed with ".bush." ----- stay tuned, 'cause i KNOW to this ball-stuffing than just-bush ---- gotta be the *proper* bush, i'm sure ..... further research is required

    first-base was a light/utility pole
second base was a rock in the middle of the road
and third was another rock on the of the road opposite the light pole

    * whew *

that was a lot to type na tru

    oh
    oh
oh:::>> when asked, they told me the game was called "..Bat-Ball.."
    .
    .
    ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

i betta hit the post-button before i type more
    i don't trust Jamaica's power, computer system
...don't wanna loose all this type-ing stuff

...soon come back with the rest of the story...

    :-(

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

this Jamaica-thing is soooooooooooooooooooooo complicated, na tru
    ..way too-many *shades-of-gray*
    sometimes,
    kinda-sorta,
    makes me wish I'd STAY-ed inside that all-inclusive resort environment, where things were so much simple-er, and less complicated {{ figurative-ly speaking, of course }}

Nah, the tourist people would mash it up for everyone. When I use to buy a flask and mixer with cupS of ice for 300 it was a wonderful thingy. I'm guessing some tourist people would think that price would include unlimited refills of mixer and ice. Even worse, the local (country) parties where JB--Appleton or whoever comped some of the booze costs and you could get 2 flasks and 2 mixers for 500J.

Lol@ the AI thingy....sure you are joking about going from a 30 a day (guessing) vacation experience to a 150(no clue about AI stuff) just so you don't have to find cheap rum/

    oooh kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

    "..Bat-Ball.." ___ How to Play

i do NOT know all the rules, regs, etc.
'cause i was only at the *ball-field* for a short while
    but
this is what i saw (( further *research* required ))
if any of you's know this game, DO feel-free to fill-in/correct what i type

    firstly,
    there is NO bat..!!..

    a play-er steps behind home-plate (the stick)
    and
    with one hand
toss-es the stuffed box-drink ball into the air (kinda sorta like VenusWilliams about to do that serve-thing)

the *batter* with the other hand
    bats the ball
    out to the playing area

    once stricking the ball
    dem RUN to first,
    and the other bases
depending on whether or not the opposing team-players have retrieved the ball.

NOW, ,,,,,, THIS is where it get FUN
    :-)

i forgot to mention that this game is ALSO similar to '..Dodge Ball..'
    lol
    lol
    lol

    the opposing team member(s)
    once they get the ball
try their darn-dest to hurl that ball at the other team-player/base-runner and mash him/her UP..!!..

that's how you get an '.out.' --- i think

    Remember i don't know all the rules/regs/etc.
but at one point in the game
there was what looked like a *penalty* situation.

the defending did something(?) improper with/to the base runner,
    and a *foul* was called,
    and
somewhat similar to hockey and/or soccer,
    there was a '..penalty-shot..'

    which involved the defensive offender,
    standing in place,
while one of the offended offensive team members
HURLS that ball at the offender.
    ..again::>> to MASH dem UP..!!..

    ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
this description is getting kinda complicated na tru

    neverTHEless:::::

    during game-play,
    a defender
    hurl-ed the ball
    at a base-runner

    ball went into the bush
    down the gulley
    someplace(?)

    couldn't find ball

    game over
