Don't forget since deregulation baggage handlers, security personnel airport staff are working for the lowest bidders. They work split shifts for close to minimum wage and few benefits. Besides the thefts I have seen many aircraft damaged by careless and disinterested employees. It won't get better anytime soon. Take the offered advice! in fact we should all use JamaicaRobs yellow duct tape. Then we can ID each other as boardies as well!

I have friends who just got back from negril yesterday. Their Kindle was lifted from checked luggage.

Aye, On my last trip, the interior shell of my suitcase was crumbled inside the lining, due to rough handling, I'm sure. I have sat on the airplane and watched them throw and smash down the luggage. I complained to the Airline (Air Canada) with pics and got a new replacement suitcase, which was a nice surprise. I thought it was worth a try.

I always carry valuables in my carry on and buy any alcohol at the duty free after checking my bags. If you have had bad service, complain. If we all start to let them know the service is lacking, perhaps something may possibly be done.
