Shaggy & Friends concert - live steaming Sat nite 7:30 pm JA time

Shaggy & Friends concert to raise funds for the Bustamante Childrens Hospital in Kingston happens tomorrow nite and the event is being streamed online at no charge starting at 7:30 pm JA time. The lineup includes: Shaggy, Tessanne Chin, Neyo, Tarrus Riley, Konshens, Chronixx, Sean Paul, Assassin, I-Octane, Wayne Marshall, Pinchers, The Mighty Diamonds and others (including Matthew Schuler who was in the top 6 on the Voice with Tess).

Monies raised from the concert (all artistes are donating their time and talent) to be used to buy medical equipment for the newly constructed children’s cardiac ward at the hospital. For anyone who wishes to donate for this great cause, donations can be made on line. Here is the link for live streaming and for donations.

Here is a short video from prior Shaggy & Friends concert a couple of years ago (the 2014 show is the 4th Shaggy & Friends concert). To date the concerts have raised about $2 million US for the childrens hospital (which serves all of the English speaking Caribbean).

I watched until a little past 11:30 p.m. I especially enjoyed the Mighty Diamonds and Damian Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock," what a statement to perform that on the grounds of Jamaica House! I was impressed by the efficiency of the stage manager who was able to keep all of those acts coming with little to no delay between performers. Big up to Shaggy and Friends! Hope they raised plenty of cash for the cause!
