A few year ago we did this, we usually go to Jamaica 3 weeks plus and stay at a few different places. We like to travel. We had booked somewhere for a week and only stayed there for half of the duration. We may have called the hotel to let them know. It was so long ago I can't remember all the details. We had no problem.
