Improvise? Ho boy! This will not be pretty. This will not end well. We need to involve Mrs. Crusher! Happy landing, Dude! Soak up that sun and warm! We will work on warming Canada while you're gone. No promises there either!

Great idea! My pictures never turn out good, so maybe we'll end up with some good ones if we bring 2 and hubby takes some. Why haven't I ever thought of that before?!?

We travel with 2 digital cameras, a point and shoot and a SLR. One tip make sure both cameras have the same date and time it makes it easier to sort if you make a slide show. We take around 1500 pics over 2 weeks, wife takes most, and I get the job of editing. Have a great trip, we are arriving Wednesday for 3 weeks.

It's always a good idea to take a back-up camera. I've had 3 cameras go down in Jamaica. One just malfunctioned and I had to buy a cheap one at a gift shop on the beach. I drowned two of them. Supposed to be waterproof but they leaked anyway. Nikon repaired the last one so I got lucky. We'll see how it works this year. I'll take another one just in case. I still have a film camera I use for scuba diving that is good to 200 ft. I'm not going that far down but it always works. Just have to get converted to digital images when I get home. Sand, Sea and just bumping around can really take a toll on a camera.

Here's one of the last underwater pics I got last year with the Nikon AW100

I don't feel so bad, had to tell Mr. Nutz - he thinks I'm, well, nutz. I only bring 3, the point & shoot, the waterproof and the DSLR. Barely took the DSLR out this trip though, although it was great to get pics of the Dr Birds at Rocklands...
