    Day 1, sat, July 30

So I dont like to think of this as a trip report, just some of the interesting and fun thing that happened. So I also hate when it starts with the before the airport part.lol We had an early flight out of Toronto last minute deal of course. On time and breeze through customs and immigration, not bad for a sat morning. Out to the taxi area and the non stop "you need a taxi mon" Dont see the guy with the Rhodes Hall sign anywhere, but recognize a couple other Negril drivers. After a short wait our ride is here and we are off to Negril. Rhodes Hall sent this driver and ends up a real nice guy with a newer model Toyota. So we make the trip to Negril rather uneventful other than a stop at a market in Green Island for supplies, and no lunch as Biggas and Cousins Cove Jerk were not open. We arrive at Rhodes Hall to our upstairs room all ready for us, nice room with ac great view and a loft that poolguy jr. thought was the coolest nothing like climbing a ladder to bed when your 15 I guess. We get settled in pretty quick and take a quick look around the property before heading into Negril. At this point I was a little nervous how we were going to get back and forth as ATI can be really crowded. We have the driver drop us off at Treehouse and have a plan to get back around there for pick up later after Seastar. We made our way down the beach road towards the west end getting a glimpse of the ATI parties. Lots of girls in very small tight clothes and bikinis, as I have found out mesh cover ups are in style these days ( not sure what the point to that is, but dont really get the fashion thing anyways). We make some of the usual stops on the way like Canoe, SpydaJam, and others on the way up to Seastar. Seastar buffet was really good as usual and there was a wedding going on as well. Was not very busy even though it was Chris,s birthday and we were getting tired as it was an early 7:30 am flight. So around 11:00 we get a ride on the shuttle with Ken up to Cocolapalm that was where the traffic started to get thick. So from there we start walking down the beach road through the ATI crazyness. If you thought the street vendors were crazy at the Jungle or Alfreds you should see this! I make a quick call to our driver as we reach Treehouse and tell him the traffic is really backed up so we will keep walking until it thins out, he ends up calling me back as he is up around Hedonism and traffis has stopped moving. I tell him just stay there we wil walk, which is farther than I thought espeacially as we were getting really tired, but we made it and all was good. There were people and cars everywhere it was something to see. Back at Rhodes Hall we settle in For a good nights rest to gst ready for the sunday adventure.

Yep Vince it was Wayne, really nice guy. Rhodes Hall was great, but not stumbling distance from Negril, so it worked for this trip, but if I was on a solo trip woulda been tough. We ate at the Bayview a couple of times the food was great and Kemp the Bar/waiter guy was great.
