    Packing Tips

For those who might not know about this simple packing tip.
Roll all your shorts and shirts, they take up way less room. In this bag I have 5 shirts, 5 pair of shorts, 4 pair of boxers and 2 swim suits. Water shoes and flip flops in the end pockets. The carry-on bag is half full. I'm sure my wife will fill the rest of it

Good tip! You might want to put your cologne or other liquids in a zip lock bag. Frequently, by the time the luggage reaches JA...things can get broken. I speak from experience.

Yup, will do along with tooth paste etc.. (Why didn't they name it teeth paste? I wonder if a redneck named it tooth paste?)

You bag those items and than roll them inside the clothes for extra protection.

    Re: Packing Tips

I spend months deciding on what and how much to pack. The day before we fly out my husband pulls his suitcase out and literally within 10 minutes he is ready to go! Toiletries and all! My packing tip would be to make sure to at least carry on some of my clothes. Especially the ones for the beach. Had a near miss some years back when someone mistaking my bag for theirs took it from the carousel. Luckily my husband walked around and found it. After that I make sure I have something to get me through at least the first day or so just in case.

My wife and I are the opposite. I pack 60 days out. I make sure I put her travel hair dryer and towel in her carry on. She packs the rest a week before the trip. This March 2014 trip is going to be interesting because we just found our we are pregnant, so she keeps telling me she will need to do some clothes shopping right before the trip. Looks like some long boring shopping days to keep my mind off the trip are in my future.
