    Re: Wi Fi modem

We got the black box modem. I sure hope we will be able to re-register it. It's going to be about a year since we bought it. I know last year they didn't have many and it took a few trips to the shop buy Burger King to get one. At one point they took our number and said they would call us but I kept checking and finally when I went in they had one( but they never called). I'm going to attempt to call the Negril shop tomorrow if I get home from work on time. Really hope we didn't buy that modem for nothing. Why does everything with computers got to be a hassle? Oh well maybe it will work out.

Thanks Captaind. Marko... I much prefer to use the netbook in my room at my convenience. It beats having to get dressed, then sit on a couch that's probably pretty grungy (I always take a towel to sit on), or to sit outdoors where there would be glare & I could not even read the screen, bugs there too. No thanks. Has nothing to do w/ staying in my room. All about convenience. Then there's lugging the netbook around, too.

Chi-town (my original home area)... I was told once you have the black box you're good forever. No need to re-register... just add required time. Based on experience, I don't put much trust in what the Digicel employees tell me. My frequent question to them is "What else do I need to know that I haven't asked you yet?" since their common response is "But you didn't ask that.". Very frustrating to deal w/ them since they don't seem that well informed & spend more time "playing & chatting". It was much more professional & helpful when the professional young man was there a few years ago. He would explain things & provide thorough info. The young women are the exact opposite. When I talked w/ a Digicel CS rep last summer she was agast when I told her my experience at the Negril Digicel store. Her words... "They are very unprofessional. That should never happen." Unprofessional is right. End of rant, lol.

Please let me know what you find out. I'll be hading down Saturday. Thanks.

I've had the white 4g broadband box for several years bow and always have to call digicel to get a technician to walk me through re-registering the box. aggrevating but worth it for the convenience.
