    Where to stay.....

So after over 20 years, I'm heading back to Negril in March. I used to go to Negril a lot in the late 1980s and early 1990s

I never stayed on the beach...either stayed with friends in the mountains or stayed in little room in town. We used to hang out near T Water hotel when I did go to the beach though. I can't seem to find that hotel.

But now I'm in my early 40s, and looking for a nice beach hotel or a maybe west end??? It will be myself and my sister. We will be visiting with old friends, but we will be 2 women traveling alone.

We'd like nice and safe....possibly a nice massage, but NO all inclusive.

    Thoughts? Recommendations?

    Thanks!

Negril Treehouse is our favorite on the beach. Safe, great staff, and the full breakfast buffet is included with the room rate. On the west end the Blue Cave Castle is our fave. Unique and fun, free blue mountain coffee, and chef Teddy is one of the best in town!

I second Treehouse. Very safe. Wonderful staff. Nice Jamaican vibe. Ras said it and I agree great breakfast buffet with omelet and waffle station and Jamaican dishes to start your day leisurely. Nice beach front is back!!

Depends on what your budget is? Coco La Palm, Charela, Idle Awhile, Nirvana.

I'll add Country Country for beach (great food, included breakfast) and Le Mirage on the cliffs. Both are small and homey with great security. As a Le Mirage guest, you are nicely welcomed at Charela's beach (sister hotel). Le Mirage's rooms all just have a king bed (if you don't mind sharing) and are nice and large. Great seaviews and very quiet.

You may also enjoy the newly refurbished Mango Tree resort on the West End. Very reasonable prices and closer to town.

Have fun, sounds like a great trip!

    Kibby,
If you want a very good massage call Koreen at 528-8332. She lives on the West End and will bring her table to meet you anywhere you want.

Negril welcomes you back with open arms and a big smile !
Many visitors try to choose between the beach and cliffs, many have made their choice. Here is an offer, that has no equal: precisely the same distance from either, 300 m from Hi Lo [right above their parking lot]. Luxuriously and completely equipped apartment: full kitchen, hot water, AC, very secure and private. You didn't say when in March you are arriving, I would suggest a quick action, as it is very busy time.
Will exceed all your expectations, except a massage [there are so many better choices].

Love Tree House and the location on the beach. The breakfast is great too.
Don't waste your time with explanations, people only hear what they want to hear.
