Is the Seastar buffet night appropriate for kids?

Thinking about doing the Searstar buffet night with the kids. Never been before but thought it might be something cool for us to do. They range in age from 12 - 15. Mainly worried about blatant ganja smoking in the general vicinity of the dining area.

    Thanks for any insight.

Um....that might be a discussion you need to have with your kids prior to going to Jamaica. "It's medicine for some ADULTS that need it"....or something. Personally, I would be more worried about explaining how some people are acting weird because they over consumed booze. Not for nothing...they are 12 +15, you can't protect them forever from what their eyes will see.....ears will hear....noses will smell.

On a side note, I would have no issue taking my kids (7+12) to Seastar, they know Ganja is for medical use by adults and some people drink too much booze......

If you are worried about ganja smoking you are going to the wrong Island. As far as Seastar I have been there a few times and haven't noticed any ganja smoking but like anywhere else it is a possibility. That being said, I think they would have a blast at Seastar. When we were there there were all ages including little ones having fun and dancing.
It is a great place for you and your family to have a good meal and lots of fun.

We've been there many times and there are children of all ages. Yes there is the occasional spliff but it is not blatant or predominant. Bring your kids, they will have a blast!

I have a 6 and 9 year old. because of our impending trip I have talked to the 10 year old about marijuana. I told her it is something some adults do, in my opinion it is safer than alcohol for adults but a very dangerous substance for young developing minds. Also that it is a big part of the Jamaican culture and is also used in by the rastafari religiously. I knew if I didn't talk before, it would come up when I wasn't prepared. we are taking them to seastar feb 1st. the 6 year old wont notice so I left that alone. Don't know where your from but at 15 you can bet the kid has already seen it at school.

Yes, I would take my kids. Yes, I would explain that they may see people smoking ganja all over Negril. Different country, different customs.

We bring our 6 year old daughter to Negril every year with us, have been since she was 18 months old. I think this will be the first year that we will have to be a little more discreet about smoking. We definitely won't hide it from her, she knows that dad smokes, but it's the stuff that's good for you, as she says. lol. We will never stop going to Jamaica because of that heavenly smell wafting everywhere...

To be honest, there is more smoke at Seastar than most places. Let's keep it real.
