Linston is a great driver - safe, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. See you in a few months Linston!

So when you all talk about hiring a driver...do you pay then for the full time you are there? How much does that cost? Are they available whenever the mood strike that you need a ride somewhere?

If you use Linton for your pickup at the airport and return the round trip is about 110US and he'll give you a phone.

Any time you wish to go somewhere you call him (with a bit of notice) and he'll come get you. The cost for those trips varies depending on the distance.

In the long run you'll spend a bit more than using the "route cabs" but you'll have a private ride.

The drivers do a "pay as you go" rate - although I guess you could hire a driver for an entire day or week, but that would become cost prohibitive.

That is why I suggest that you take down the numbers of several drivers, so if one is not available or their phone is busy, you can simply call another driver. You can call them on a whim - we call drivers for visitors all the time - from our webcasts, for shopping and excursions or just to get back to their hotel.

And once again, we know all the drivers listed in our Transportation section personally and they are all legally licensed and insured to carry paying passengers and have their "red plate" status as a taxi.

This is a classic, well minus the rose part. I left a poor guys grandmother unburied last trip. I'm an awful person.

And the little bit of extra money you spend could be well worth it in the long run. Linstons phone addition is a huge plus in my book. Where we stay, there are no phones, so this is a fantastic value added service.

I really like having a phone while I am there. I mostly just use it locally but I can and sometimes do call home with it. Its a bonus to have.

The front desk wherever you're staying will have a driver that will be fair and treat you right. After all, you know where they work.
