Rooms on the Beach room question

Seriously considering a trip in early April, we'd be staying at Rooms on the Beach this reach. I like the idea of an Oceanfront room, but am told that some of those rooms have no balcony, just patio doors with a railing. Does anyone know what room(s) we should request? We'd like a covered balcony or terrace, ground floor would be better for us but 2nd floor would be okay. Any luck in getting a requested room? Do we have a better chance of getting a requested room if we book directly with the hotel or through a TA?

Do all of the gardenview rooms have a balcony or terrace?

That's one thing I love about the smaller JA resorts - you're never too far from the beach - not like some of the Mega Resorts we've stayed in! Mr. Nutz has some issues with balance & stairs, so we'll most likely request a ground floor room. Love oceanview, not so much to see it, just to hear it. For some reason Rooms doesn't charge much of a premium for the Oceanfront vs the GardenView, gotta like that!
