Appleton Rum and Diet Coke with a twist of lime is our drink of choice. You will find that Diet Coke in Jamaica is called Coke Light and is sometimes difficult to find. Make sure to ask for Appleton and not just rum or you may get overproof.

I think Overproof rum has strong molasses flavor. It's great for mixing, but don't recommend straight.

It's also good as an antiseptic. Was bartender's solution when wife stepped on a dog in the dark many years ago.
