I contacted Charlie on FB he assured me things are all good. Still a little worried about security being solo. I do appreciate all of the response on here. And Thanks Mike_D for checking it out for me.
Getting stoked anyway!!! I should be ok just plan on chilling there a lot day and night. Plus I won't be carrying a lot of cash or any valuables! I'm down for a new adventure!!!

They installed razor wire while I was there. I have always felt safe with all the security Kim & John had & security with Charlie. They have safes in the rooms, never have had an issue with theft. The staff is great, no worries! I was there by myself & planning on returning!

I just got a response from Tina the manager at HSH. She assured me the bar and Restaurant are in fact open. As for Security with both the past owners and Charlie who is back know we have always felt safe. Charlie had his own people doing security at night was the only difference from John and Kim who had a security company. We will be there in a couple of weeks so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

If Terry is still the running the restaurant, you are in for a treat! The HSH restaurant is one of the most underrated spots in Negril. My wife had curry chicken at some of the most popular restaurants in town, and she still maintains that Terry's is the best. We even had dinner on our balcony a couple nights, and Terry brought us a terrific soup that we didn't even ask for! We are not staying at HSH on our next trip, but we will be sure to stop in for lunch or dinner one day.

Terry is now running her own restaurant located next to Chicken Lavish. I eat there often. Great food and Great prices

mi wouldn't be surprised if the disappointing reviews were fabricated from a past investor....just mi gut feeling
mi know for a fact over $100,000US of renovations were put into the place.......
and mi think right now.......it's one of the nicest places to stay on the Cliffs......
they have a great Chef......nice dining area.....and the food is yummy........
they have sliced pizza for $150J's a lot of nights.........
and the grounds are super nice.....nice stone work....walkways....new paint all over da place........
come a long way since the days when Pirate managed da place......ha ha
and if you have the chance to stay there......say hi to the guy walking around with his snorkel and mask....lol

However I have decided to POSTPONE THE WHOLE TRIP in light of all the recent negativity, plus I don't think i want to travel alone. Thanks Everyone
