Well writing Rob. ONLY THING BAD ABOUT YOUR POST WAS THAT YOU HAD TO MENTION THAT FOOTBALL TEAM IN OHIO.
I find it very interesting the juxtaposition of some top threads recently. A few asking for and detailing how to procure illegal items and then a few lamenting crime. Food for thought.
Very well said Rob! I was accosted and robbed in Paris and I won't hesitate to go back. Paris didn't steal from me, a jacka$$ did and they are everywhere.
I've been surprised over the years that I haven't heard of more thefts...
Don't waste your time with explanations, people only hear what they want to hear.
It happens everywhere...we live in a very small town in middle georgia....not a whole lot of crime....but my wife was walking around the track, as she and many others do everynight....when she got back to her car, the window was smashed and her purse was stolen....happens everywhere....and when it happens to u, u feel violated...ths happened in oct, i think...she walked 5=6 days a week prior to the incident, just now gettng back to a regular walking schedule....
Cant wait until our trip in April...

I live in Lower Merion...and yes break ins are happening daily here. I spent a lot of time in Negril in the late 80s and early 90s. Haven't been back in 20 years. Just booked a trip for March. I must say hat I am nervous about the trip...not so much about crime at all but more about seeing changes in Negril that will make me wish I left my love for Negril in my memories of how it used to be. But everything changes and crime happens everywhere. I wouldn't go to certain places in Philly after a certain hour and now in my little Narberth town I lock my doors everytime I go out. Ten years ago we all left our doors unlocked in Narberth! And just to note, I had some travelers checks stolen in Negril in the 1980s...never stopped me from going back. Getting married and having kids was a much bigger deterrent to visiting Negril then crime :-)
How many more people are going to say *crime happens everywhere*?? Ok. we get it.
We travel with our young daughter every year and notice a big difference than when we visited Negril as a couple traveling with two other people. With our daughter things are different. When we walk down the beach early at night we aren't bothered by anyone. There is a certain level of respect that is given and I appreciate that. We don't stay out late at night, even when we have a babysitter. So, I can't comment on the late night bar scene. We have friends coming with us this year and I have warned them about certain things, husband thinks that I'm being a little ridiculous, but I wouldn't be a good friend if I didn't give them my 2 cents.
I noticed the same thing traveling with my little ones
Stir IT UP
Tizzy, I am hoping the same for me...no I am not bringing kids...but I am OLD.....I think I get a lot of respect just due to my age!
