Duty Free ? on Return Flight...

For the first time we will be flying home non-stop from MBJ to Indiana on Delta. My partner and I will each have a carry on plus a shoulder bag. Would duty free liquor bought at the airport be considered another carry on...if so is there an extra charge? Not sure how this works...also how many bottles per person are we allowed? Much respect for your input! Soon come.

In 15 trips over the last 4 years we've only been troubled once about the extra carry on.

duty free boxes are not considered as a carry-on. Usa allows 2 liters alchohol and unlimited wine per person. Tia Maria, rum cremes .ect, are considered wine(low alchohol content)

Lucky you! We Canadians only get 1L or wine or beer.

Kristine - if you do decide to buy at the airport Duty Free, buy from Sunshine Liquours which is just at the top of the escalator. Much better prices than the other one that you have to walk through, I was shocked at the difference.

At Sunshine Liquors on Thursday; Rum Bar Vodka 8 dollars; Rum Bar Rum Cream 11 dollars, Rum Bar White Rum 9 dollars for a 25 ounce (750ml) bottle.
That store you walk through to get to the gates is very expensive for everything.
