    Christmas in Negril

I thought that I would share some pictures of our Christmas Vacation in Negril. We arrived on Friday 12/20 @ 12:30 pm. The airport was crazy crowded. Hubby said "look, that girl is holding a sign with our names". Club Mobay rep waiting to take us through the airport. WTH? I bought the departure...Long story short, my mistake(best mistake), we zoomed thru the huge line. Damion from Kingsley Take Care Tours picked us up & transported us to Negril, stopping wherever we wanted along the way. We arrived at Rondel. Hubby heads to the beach. I go next door to see Pat to arrange a package deal for 4 massages for the week and recieve my 1st massage! Dinner at Jamaica Tamboo tonight.
Breakfast at Alfred's - love the view!

The beach was crowded at Rondel, as there was a family of 27 spending the holidays there. So, we set up our umbrella as far away as possible,on the other side of the property.

My daily mission was to set up chairs with our umbrella, buy fruit (mangoes), Cocoa bread from Antony, juice from Tony. I bought fresh pineapple from Miss Cortis (sp?) and mangoes daily from Serge.

Lunch every day was jerk pork from Dean. I like the regular. Hubby like the hot. That is crazy freakin hot! I had coco bread pasted to my lips trying to cool them down! One day I walked up to Niah's for patties. He was out of chicken & said it would be a while. He delivered them to me. Nice guy!

Sand gravity sucked us in BIG TIME. We didn't deviate from our daily routine with the exception of going out to dinner each evening. Our driver Balo picked us up several nights & took us wherever we wanted to go. We went to Debar on Saturday. It was packed! I've never seen that many people there. Glad to see Eddie's business doing well. Pam said that business has been good. We went back to Debar on Christmas - not crowded. We asked Balo to join us for dinner. I tried to get some pics of the lights at the roundabout, Balo, bless his heart, kept driving around it so I could get some shots!

We went back to Jamaica Tamboo on Christmas Eve. We also dine at Chicken Lavish, Bourbon Beach, and LTU. We went to LTU on our last night hoping to catch the sunset. It poured down rain, but we enjoyed our last evening anyway. The weather was great. We had rain in the late afternoon about 4 days. It was a relaxing vacation filled with daily mango daiquiris every morning. Some days we went to Alfred's for breakfast, other days we ate fresh fruit on the beach & waited for the jerk pork to be delivered to our chair. Bringing our own umbrella was a huge plus. We stayed on the beach from 8 - 4 everyday. People made friends with us so the could use our umbrella when we went for a walk, massage, etc! They were envious! Even a beach dog crawled up under my chair seeking refuge from the sun & hung out under the umbrella for awhile.

    Re: Christmas in Negril

It was such a relaxing, no pressure, stress free holiday, that on Thursday my husband asked "when was Christmas?" Really?

Our holiday ended quickly, as they always do. We had a great time. Lots of laughs, good conversations, & funny stories. Met a lot of nice people staying at Rondel. Hope to see them again next year!
