Wake up whenever I want....have some tea on the veranda and think about how lucky I am to be able to find an island that I adore! Possibly, wake and bake...and later have some fresh fruit for breakfast. Hopefully, chat with the folks at the resort and maybe have a swim. Very slowly......begin to prepare for the day. Maybe take a walk on West End and chat with friends from long time.

Well, by now it it probably about noon...so tink about a beverage! Ok...now mi ready...grab a route taxi and hit the beach. Not an everyday occurrence...but always a fun day. Walk about 7 mile and browse the area...take a swim...repeat....grab a quick drink and of course....talk some more with the locals. To me, every single day in Jamaica is an adventure. One never knows what will occur or who we will see...it seems magical. There are always familiar faces from previous trips and it seems that they will suddenly appear!!! I may be thinking about Niah (the infamous patty maker) and I run into him at the Corner Bar. I may be thinking about Errol from the former Royal Kitchen...and suddenly, I see him walking about.. That is the magical, ethereal wonders of Negril. Before I know it, my day is made full with the wonderful folks that I have been blessed to have met and call my friends.

Somehow, this wonderful island always delivers. Well...almost...sometimes the days or evenings can be met with a few that take some effort to deal with..but that is life. Generally, every single day is truly a wonder. Jerk chicken is one of my favorite snacks during the afternoon...then later...shower, dress....and hang out for a while before dinner. Choosing where to eat dinner is always a big deal. SO many choices...hit dinner, chat and chill....maybe luck out and hit a concert....Rest and repeat!!!

Captain...thanks for reminding me just how wondrous this island can be. After typing this reply, I am taken aback just how relaxing every single day can be. No, I am not blinded...I have had some days that ...well, rather sucked!!! But, overall, nothing...can compare to a good day in Jamaica!!
