Well, I get up just as the sky starts to brighten over the mountains with sunrise still about a half hour away. I meditate on my verandah and hail up the farmers heading for the fields in the bush and the pickney on their way to school.

About 8:30am, Marshall comes back from the bush and fixes me a cup of bush tea (usually cerasee, John Charles, fence post, bah cedar, strongback, susumba leaves, etc. and, of course cinnamon) while he fixes a breakfast of some vegetables and whole wheat bread or ackee and veggie chunks [my personal favorite!]

We sit down and reason for about half an hour before he is back to the bush making coal or tending his dasheen crop.

My afternoons vary from a walk of about a mile to the community center Internet Café, reading a book or writing.

About 6pm and it is about time for dinner. We eat no meat so it is usually fish or veggie chunk related with lots of veggies and wheat bread.

We watch the news at 7pm and then stick in a dvd from a neighbor or a street vendor in Santa Cruz and after about an hour, I look over and Marshall is sleeping. He has seen about 30 minutes of every movie known to man!

About 9pm, I turn off the movie and head to bed. Tomorrow will always be a blessing!
