    Travel Safe - Pacsafe

Lots of discussion about crime lately so I thought I would share this - a product that I first learned about here several years ago We use this whenever and wherever we travel, including within our own state! We put our passports, emergency credit cards and cash and camera in it. They come in various sizes to meet whatever needs you may have. We lock ours onto a metal closet pole in Jamaica and have used bathroom pipes in other hotels. Perhaps this will help bring some peace of mind to you as it has to us

I usually stay where there are in room safes but one of my fav places doesn't have the safes. Great idea. Ordered one.

We use a Pacsafe bag and it works great plus gives us that added sense of security. Definitely recommended.

Used the Pacsafe wallet for years, and keep it in my front pocket w/chain attached to my nylon belt. One attempt at it while I was in NY, worked great!

Looks like there is stainless steel wire weaved through it. That would make it somewhat machete proof.

We use the Pacsafe Metrosafe 250. It states it is slashproof. Fortunately we have not confirmed that . It has other safety features as well. Check Amazon and you will find many to choose from. Better to be safe than sorry.

We Bought ours a couple years ago and love it. Back then we got it from Magellans but tried to get one this year for the in laws and they didn't carry them anymore. Found an awsome suplier in Backcountry.com
We stay in a Hotel without an in room safe and feel much more secure knowing our passports are in that slashproof bag whick is firmly attached to something strong in the room.
The way we have it figured if someone is just looking for the smash and grab they aren't going to get it from us. Anything is possible but the way that lock and cable is in there it's going to take some effort to get our stuff.
