    Re: When do YOU go?

My first time was late April and it's still my favorite. Early December comes in second. Both are off season but close enough to still have some activity. Also been in June and August. August was by far the hottest and slowest but there is never a bad time to be in Negril.

Go right after the cut off date of April 15th or right before the high season of Dec 15th......

May - First time I ever went. Not a lot of other tourists. Had a great time Obv.
November - Probably my favorite time so far. Went during US thanksgiving. Just the right amount of Tourists. Cheap rates
January - NYE, Was a short trip. Partied very hard. Dont really remember a whole lot //// My Birthday Mid Month. Had fun, but expensive rates.
April - Boardie Bash. Lots of people from here.
August - NO tourists. Went with the guys. HOT. ATI/Dream weekend. Had fun because of the company I was with.

    Re: When do YOU go?

July - My first trip to Negril. Was low season, pretty quiet from what I could tell. Very hot and humid which was ok with me but I'm used to that kind of extreme heat. The water was nice and calm. there were several afternoon rainshowers that didn't last very long.

Late April / Early May - Have done this twice and experienced similar weather conditions on both trips. A few sunny days but mostly overcast skies with rough seas on the cliffs, and waves on the beach. Not as much rain as I expected given the gray skies. Again, slow season technically, but seemed there were more people than in July. Maybe because it was during the week of the Boardie Bash and there were LOTS and lots of really fun people in town. This is my favorite thing about that time of year....meeting people from this site.

December - This was my last trip, and so far has been my favorite time of year to be in Negril. The weather was ideal as far as I'm concerned. Sunny and warm during the day, breezy at night, and the water was PERFECT!! however, I think that might be unpredictable, as I remember seeing peoples pictures on Facebook the week leading up to my trip and being worried because the water looked very rough. Maybe I lucked out? I dunno but it was heaven!!

I usually like to travel to Negril shortly after Easter weekend. Things slow down a bit. And the locals are not as aggressive with their "sales pitch" as they are earlier in the season.

    Re: When do YOU go?

I've been mostly in December and in April -- once in July. I love Negril anytime and I've been lucky to have always had good weather, but the two times we went Christmas/NY week, were very special. I love NYE in Negril.
