I'll second it as well. Sasanya is amazing, however the set is not what I really want to hear while in Jamaica.

I have to say I am all seastared out for Saturday nights, although I still like to go other times to eat and drink. I went to Boubon Beach last Saturday and the live reggae was great and it was free the place was packed.

I am thrilled to see so many of you giving props to Stephen West!. He is not exactly a secret to folks on this board, but I LOVE connecting him with new fans any chance I can. In addition to being a GENUINE musical talent, he has the kindest soul of ANYONE I have ever met in Jamaica- and probably anywhere in the world. We put on some John Lennon one afternoon and to see the expressions on his face as he was soaking up the lyrics was something to behold. He LOVES to experience what other music turns people on, and make them think and feel and share HIS favorites too. I love that about music - it tears down barriers and lets us find common ground. IT IS WHY WE TRAVEL- ESPECIALLY TO JAMAICA.
The Jimmy Cliff comparison was high and well deserved praise.
DO go to Seastar. Stephen West, the Drummers and Dancers are spectacular. It is a fantastic scene, and given you are arriving on Saturday, you will meet lots of people with advice for you for the rest of your stay. Some of the advice may even be good
As stated here, by the time Seastar is winding down, there are other opportunities for great music elsewhere just firing up.
Have a blast, in whatever you decide to do.

We haven't been before, but planning on it this trip. If I may ask, why? Just looking for another perspective. Thanks!
