Jamadian has a great description of what Hedo is all about...the misconceptions are hysterical sometimes. We took the Love Bus two years ago and were the first ones picked up at Hedo. As other people got on the bus they saw our Hedo shirts or bags and wouldn't even look at us at first let alone talk to us and the whispers started. Thank god for alcohol as by the second bar one of them got the courage to talk to us and of course the first question was "What is Hedo really like". By the end of the crawl we were all fast friends and even a few wanted to come and visit for a day pass.
Ya Mon...Heading home

It is a story that is hard to convey in terms of the feast of sensory overload, but a fun and better yet true story to tell. In many ways it is a "you had to be there" story. But I think this board is a great way to take us all along on many many different rides in that way. Thanks for the thanks.
And I whole heartedly agree with Jamadian. I am not about bashing any hotel or places that people choose to stay ( it's their own time and dime afterall ), but I have also found other large chain all inclusives to be a tad stale, and yes dare I say on the DULL side given you are in a tropical paradise with endless possibilities. The 2 times I went on a day pass to such places were because friends were staying there. I remember seeing all too many people who in general are fun loving but may just be the types who like predictable outcomes on vacation or tethered to such people. Not my deal, but also not my place to say that is wrong.
Hedo II is anything but predictable. Be open to see and do a lot, or just relax and take it all in. Bottom line is you will be free to be who you want to be there. For the great food, drink, entertainment and fun people all around it is well worth the price of admission. I can't speak on the topic of "best day" to go. As I said, it has been years since I was there, and others on this board have better and specific advice that best serves that question.
I may go back someday, but the beach and new untapped west side adventures tend to keep me "busy". Sure glad I did see it for myself. In a funny way it was both everything I thought it would be, but the people were anything but, if that makes sense. ( I think that is what Jamadian AND Face Down said in a far more eloquent way. )
