2-4-1 nude lobster deals....
It is a very fun thing to go do for an evening.
**** oh s***, mr Peabody we are getting in the way back machine for a KIDRICK flashback... Hedo II 2004***
About 10 years ago , curiosity for Hedo and magic tea finally got the best of us. So decided to combine the two into one easy to understand experience.. Why wouldn't we? Stopped by Tedd's to let this artisan prime us for battle before venturing into the enclave of sublime and absurd. What a scene. Ever seen "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?" ( trouble at the front desk scene).... That was US!! Mustered all of our collective brain cell to navigate the check in process.. Doooough boouoy... Two if by tea indeed.
Cut to finally walking in... It was like a lightning laser show in sloooooowww mooooootion. Voodoo by Godsmack is playing. The PERFECT song for the place and time. I felt like Jim Morrison walking around the Warhol party ( yes my life boils down to movie clips)...
Fascinating characters abound in every part of the resort. Listened to the most beautiful rendition of Ave Maria I have ever heard by some gorgeous Italian lady who was a Hedo II guest in the piano bar. I mean this woman was Sophia Loren meets Penelope Cruz beautiful, matched only by a voice of silken glass.
Thirsty and eager to continue the circuit we happened upon a pile of humanity playing a game of human petting zoo, oblivious to our presence. I wasn't sure who was winning , or what the scoring system was. Had to smile as this place was living up to the legend. I am no voyeur, nor a prude so simply chalked it up to just another thing in a mounting list of things that I can't unsee and pressed on in pursuit of more spectator appropriate endeavors.
Watching people in their element with no regard for what others think is one of my favorite things about tropical vacations. It is when we all are at our best I truly believe. LET YOUR FREAK FLAG FLY I say!!! It was indeed a flag fest from many nations all marching to their own tune. I'll do my thing, they'll do theirs and you do yours. I love that!
DJ let me rock my iPod at the disco and turned the place inside out with some BeeGees and Donna Summer tunes. One couple looked like they had been freeze dried in 1977 and reanimated for that very occasion with requisite hers platform shoes and his hang glider collar. Their pre trip planning may have went something like this: "Cargo shorts...CHECK.. Bathing suits...CHECK... Passports .CHECK. Okay we are set...Whoaaa! not so fast, where are the platform shoes and huge collared shirt? Good catch honey, you know are gonna NEED those!" ( seriously who puts THAT on their packing list? RANDY & SHARONA DID and all were better off for it).. They were busting moves that would make Travolta blush! I do wonder what else may have been in their luggage, and the fun that the newly post-911 over reaching, over zealous airline security must have had with plundering their suitcases determining levels terrorist intent with each non traditional item they lustfully tossed.
A tv crew was there with no less than 20 of the most photo ready models you could imagine. They were becoming more scantily clad as the night gave way to early morning... It was truly unreal to be amidst the players in this fantasy theatre.
Around 3am we had had our fill and time to retire back to the realities of life of the Beach House Villas and alternative to the alternative lifestyle... We laughed for several more hours about what we'd seen or thought we'd seen.
I have never been back to HEDO in my return trips. I fear they could never live up to the perfect storm in the Spring of 04. I do still sit back and smile fondly and glad we opted to take a peek into another world if only for one glorious night pass.
Hedo II is Willys chocolate factory if the Oompa Loompas made sexy people and lucid hallucinations instead of candy.
Not sure what day it was.. I guess I never thought to ask anyone ;-). I want to say it was Saturday. My guess is it could be just about any typical night there.
Go. Enjoy. Create your own adventure there. Worth a visit to experience a lot of eclectic and fun loving people.
It will most certainly make for a great chapter in your Negril odyssey if you have a vague notion of what is in store.
Hoist that freak flag, anchors aweigh...

Saw your dates on another thread and you have hit the Hedo lottery!! Monday night the 17th, St. Patty's Day, there is a couple of groups that will be there and are throwing a huge outdoor party starting at 10:30pm. There will be a DJ from Vegas, a Martini Bar and Guinness available along with the normal "all you can drink" at the bars. Make sure to wear green...or you might get pinched!
If Monday does not work for you, both Sunday and Tuesday nights are going to be fun also!!
Ya Mon...Heading home

We were at Hedo a couple of weeks ago. As greggandkelly63 wrote: “there are a lot of misconceptions about hedo”. A big one is: “it’s a lifestylers resort”. While we were there we didn’t witness any orgies or multi-player sex games. Yes there were some displays of public affection and some action in the hot tub after 10pm, but really nothing over the top. The prude side is now listed as clothing optional and of course the nude beach and pool is where most people hang out (pun intended).
The theme nights are a lot of fun and range from seeing/wearing wickedly sexy clothing to just casual wear. A lot of people go all out on these nights and it’s a lot of fun to see, and participate in. The entertainment is always good, there are games every day and the piano bar is the place to be between 9pm and 11pm. There are multiple music venues every night from the piano bar, entertainment on stage, the Disco and beach parties. They have bands and DJ’s playing until 1 or 2am every morning.
Hedo is a sexually charged environment but surprisingly IMO not a lot of sex happening out in the open. It’s the greatest place to go if you want to party naked all day (and night if you choose).” If you like licking rum cream off a favourite body part, you’ll love hedo”. Every day there are multiple events going on and you’re hard pressed not to find a bar within stumbling distance.
You meet all kinds of likeminded people from labourers to lawyers and a lot of times you don’t know or care what people do for a living. Nudity has an incredible way of levelling the social arena. Yeah there are all shapes and sizes there, but that’s what makes the place so interesting and fun! Average age when we were there would be between 40 and 60.
We walked through Sandals resort, we saw very few smiles on people’s faces, it was like the place shut down at 9 o’clock at night. “BORING”…
For us other than staying down in Negril we wouldn’t stay any other place other than at Hedo while in Negril.
boardies-KidRick & Jamaidian ~~~ thank you thank you THANK YOU..!!.
great info, insight, etc etc.
after-YEARS on this board, for-me, you-2 are the FIRST to *enlighten* me about that place.
THANKS...!!!..
be hapPpy
Jamadian has a great description of what Hedo is all about...the misconceptions are hysterical sometimes. We took the Love Bus two years ago and were the first ones picked up at Hedo. As other people got on the bus they saw our Hedo shirts or bags and wouldn't even look at us at first let alone talk to us and the whispers started. Thank god for alcohol as by the second bar one of them got the courage to talk to us and of course the first question was "What is Hedo really like". By the end of the crawl we were all fast friends and even a few wanted to come and visit for a day pass.

Never been accused of "enlightening" anyone before.Follow me on the path to enlightenment at your own peril.
It is a story that is hard to convey in terms of the feast of sensory overload, but a fun and better yet true story to tell. In many ways it is a "you had to be there" story. But I think this board is a great way to take us all along on many many different rides in that way. Thanks for the thanks.
And I whole heartedly agree with Jamadian. I am not about bashing any hotel or places that people choose to stay ( it's their own time and dime afterall ), but I have also found other large chain all inclusives to be a tad stale, and yes dare I say on the DULL side given you are in a tropical paradise with endless possibilities. The 2 times I went on a day pass to such places were because friends were staying there. I remember seeing all too many people who in general are fun loving but may just be the types who like predictable outcomes on vacation or tethered to such people. Not my deal, but also not my place to say that is wrong.
Hedo II is anything but predictable. Be open to see and do a lot, or just relax and take it all in. Bottom line is you will be free to be who you want to be there. For the great food, drink, entertainment and fun people all around it is well worth the price of admission. I can't speak on the topic of "best day" to go. As I said, it has been years since I was there, and others on this board have better and specific advice that best serves that question.
I may go back someday, but the beach and new untapped west side adventures tend to keep me "busy". Sure glad I did see it for myself. In a funny way it was both everything I thought it would be, but the people were anything but, if that makes sense. ( I think that is what Jamadian AND Face Down said in a far more eloquent way. )

We have enjoyed the pub crawl 3 times now. When people know you are starting at Hedo, the whispering starts. I laugh and consider it jealousy from people who aren't brave enough to try it.
I even hear comments on here about Hedo people. Let me just say my wife and I are probably more normal than many that post on here.
And no......We aren't swingers.

The misconceptions are sometimes reality. I hopped on the One Love Bus with a Hedo group and it was CRAZY to say the least. Now did that particular set of folks represent all things Hedo? Of course not, however if I had a list of misconceptions I could have checked off most of them.
I'm a free spirited open minded guy, but what was burned into my eyes that day will never be forgotten. Anyone know the bucking bronco? Proud chap he is....

Now my curiosity is perked up Booger... Bucking Bronco? Are those the people who are "My Little Pony" fettishists? Is he related to "Stallion" or "Black Thunder" noted in another thread?
Sounds like you encountered some hard core "Hedo 4 Lifers"... Only conclusion to draw I suppose is unusual people dwell anywhere and everywhere.
