If 2,000,000 tourists come to Jamaica per year and spend $1,000, where does money go?

I saw police everyday on the beach the week we were there.
Walking the beach at night I also saw security guards at most resorts. I even stopped and talked with a few.
Lots of people were walking the beach at night. It didn't feel unsafe.
Besides, were I live, we don't call the cops...

Fred Stripe, what are you so angry about? If you don't like how something is, why stick around for it? You try a restaurant in your town and don't like it, do you return again and again to harangue the management until they change their business to run it 'your' way? Most people would say 'its not for me' and go elsewhere.

I once had a scare on the west end (turned out to be a porch light exploded) and police arrived in minutes.

Yes,I was out of line and apologize for the way I spoke. I criticize my own country and that's not meant as an insult. But my words were poor...I still say there is need for more police.

I may have angst Lola because I don't want to have too much fear when I want to go to the place I love and have been 18 times.
