Grand Lido Negril - Bloody Bay

After 12 trips to Negril, we have talked our best friends into coming with us in the spring of 2015. They are as excited to come as we are to bring them to Negril!

    I have a few questions........

We always stay on Long Bay and love walking the beach, talking to the vendors, the bars, etc. We have never stayed at Bloody Bay. Are there vendors, bars, etc along the beach in Bloody Bay? I always got the impression that there was little along the beach in Bloody Bay.

Also, we can't wait to take them to Cosmo's, Tony's Hut, etc. Where is the best place to access the Long bay beach? I know you used to be able to go thru the Hedonism II gates to get to the beach, but you can no longer do that. I'm guessing just walk or take a cab to the park and cut thru there?

The couple we are bringing want to stay at an all-inclusive because of the free food and drinks. They refuse to consider Hedonism II (ha!), so we will probably stay at Grand Lido and make the trek to Long Bay.

Thanks in advance for the helpful replies!

There are a few vendors on Bloody Bay....five or six musicians, cigar/cigarette/gonna be hot, hot, hot guy, and some others. Not nearly as many as Long Bay. There really aren't any bars either other than Office of Nature. It is a much more relaxed and quiet bay. Have you considered Couples Swept Away or Grand Pineapple?

Thanks JamaGinger! We have started at Grand Pineapple before. We'll see what the other couple thinks about it as the time gets closer.

I hope you don't pay Too much for Lido. I have neeb there twice in the last 3 years.I only go in Dec around the 7th where there is a Great sale. I get to Cove room for about $225 per day/per cpl.

Not bad if you consider my drinking problem????? But,,do Not expect great food, the UM air has been "temporarily" out since like 2010 at the Italian place. The breakfast is Very average. Drinks are good and good quality.Food is Below average.

Beach is still great and the Cove side is the best & best place for food. Front desk people are Nasty?????
