    Air Canada Rouge?

Flying on Air Canada Rouge on Saturday...initially was booked with Air Canada and assumed the seating chart was the same since the plane is the same. Wrong....they've jammed in 7 extra rows so now the seats I picked are over the wing not behind it Guess I now get a great view of the wing
I want to watch the Olympic metal hockey game on the plane...is the TV live streamed over the iphone? Can't find anything online about it but did read "stored TV shows and movies". What does that mean? Old reruns of Seinfeld and Friends?

Are there better seats available? If so, you can change your seats online.

Can't help you with the game.

Actually, last Air Canada I flew had Big Bang Theory, fairly recent episodes, and I laughed out loud most of the flight! My daughter watched a bunch of Breaking Bad. There is usually something for everyone.

I think you have to have electronic devices in "Airplane Mode" during the flights and not transmitting, as it interferes with the flight navigation systems. But we need an airline pro to address that. They mention it in the pre-take off safety demo or the final take off announcement.

We flew Rouge and it is definitely a step backwards. We had row 22 on the way back, no window (used to be 13), try changing your seat by early check in 24 hours ahead of flight. Nothing is free except coffee, tea pop. The wifi is all pre-recorded programs, no late movies. You need an app to get it. Most could not download it. You might try and download to your device ahead of time. The crew although nice were a knockoff of West Jet. We were not impressed considering we paid Air Canada prices, will definitely look at other airlines for next trip.

This is exactly what happened to myself and my mother. I was pissed that I paid for an AC flight to get this step down. Seats were crammed. No TVs in seat backs, just in the ceiling over the aisle which you can't see most of the time. I had downloaded the app but it was useless. You could rent and iPad for $10. And heard that the Executive Class aspect was not very good, not like regular Executive class. As much as I enjoyed the staff, the flight itself sucked. So uncomfortable. I specifically fly AC or WJ for comfort. If I wanted to be squished up like sardines, I would take Sunwing or Air Transit.

To see the Air Canada Rouge movies and shows, you have to download an app to your mobile device. It costs money.
They rent I pads on the plane with the app already loaded for 10 bucks. Ouch.
I don't think there is any t.v. streaming.
One consolation. Even with the extra rows, mostly taken from first class, the wide bodied 767 is more comfortable than most of the other planes like little Airbus and 737's like WestJet. Take a nice magazine or book. Our Rouge crew last month was great!

Rouge is Air Canada's answer to west jet and now have the same pitch and legroom as WestJet. It couldn't last forever.

Westjet's smallest pitch in their fleet is 31". Air Canada Rouge is now 30" for the 767 configuration and only 29" on their 319 fleet

I'd rather sit in pairs at the windows than 3's
