    Blue hole ?

Heading back down with our teenage daughters. None of us have an interest in spending much of the day in a car . Don't hear much about blue hole but understand it,s a relatively short drive. Anyone have experience and willing to comment. I will be driving there in one of the topless jeeps if we go so wonder about the length of time for a slow driver.
    Thanks

It really is a short drive, about 20 mins. They have a bar, a pool with the mineral water feeding into it,bathrooms, an outdoor shower. They have completed some rooms but not renting as of yet...that's what they tell some tourists but if you offer a good price they will let you rent a room. A jeep is perfect for th drive because the road there is pretty bad.

Turn off the main negril to Sav road at negril spot. Drive towards little bay,and blue hole mineral springs is located just before the beach at Brighton.

I believe you can mapquest it fore more detailed directions.

Yep, it's a nice quick drive - good for a half-day trip. Our driver took the Sav road to get there, but went through Orange Hill to the West End Rd on the way home. We also stopped at Little Bay and hung out on the beach there for a while. There is not much in Little Bay, so it might be kind of boring for the teenagers.

Little Bay has Bob Marley's mineral bath, a big rat bat cave that is walkable no ropes or climbing stuff, beaches, swimming, farms...... Also the speedway is right up the road 5 minutes and the last time I was there they didn't charge to watch people race/try out/qualify.

Spanky, if you go over Orange Hill or from that first turn off from Sav be careful with the tight corners in one of those jeeps. A few of them are tight enough that a "hey I'm here" honk or two on the horn might be a good idea. Oh.....if going over Orange Hill, there's that Jurastic park place that the kids might like.

The Bob Marley mineral bath was cool too. The water was cold and very clear.

We love the Blue Hole - always make a trip out there for a very relaxing day. The say that the pool is filled with water from the mineral springs and the adventurous can also jump into the actual "blue hole". They have a bar but no food service yet so we fill a backpack with some lunch and lounge at the pool enjoying it. They also have some shade around the pool which is nice. They do charge 10 dollars to swim. When they said the road was bad, I believe he meant the driveway up to the blue hole. The actual road from Negril is fine. We take the cycle and stop along the way to enjoy a soda if we see a little spot that takes our fancy, there are some gorgeous views along the way too. Without stops, I believe that 20 minutes is just about right.
