    Snorkelling question

    Well,

I'm starting to get organized for March trip (YES!!!) and wonder if anybody can help me by recommending a decent mask and snorkel set.

I don't want to spend a fortune but would like something decent that will last. I bought one today which was the very last one after going to 2 stores... the one I got a Dolfino? The angle of the snorkel won't fit in my mouth, it doesn't bend near the mouth piece, so it's going back tomorrow. Everything was sold out at the local sporting good store and it was the only one on the rack, so looking for any suggestions

    Thanks !!

Find a dive shop....much better options than sporting goods and dept stores.

I have a brand of mask and fins called Deep See..the fins are split at the end..(more power)..My snorkel has a float on top so if the waves go over the top it shuts and you dont inhale water..Kind of different to get used to a snorkel like that but I love it! I think it will be good by the cliffs if the water is wavy...have a great time!!!

Check Costco if you've got one close to you. They have really nice dive sets. Same type as in our dive shop here but better price. Our snorkels have the safety valves for the waves coming over the top as we'll and it's an awesome feature. Good Luck!

I should have gone to Costco but I ended up getting to Sport Chek. I got an Aqualung set.... mask, snorkel, fins and came in a backpack type bag. Can't wait to try it out

Costco has a liberal return policy if the mask is leaky, too.

Also, try Amazon. Just type in "snorkel set" and there are some really nice ones in a cheaper range. If you by chance have Amazon Prime....you will get it in 2 days and their are often free returns. Good luck and snorkel on.............

You can't go wrong with Aqualung. One of the best brands out there.
