Yes available in Jamaica, but if I am suffering severe stomach distress I want medicine ASAP. (Based on several experiences with travelers diarrhea - apparently my tummy thinks it belongs to a pampered princess!) Roaming around, going to a couple of stores to find what I need would not be a great idea. Just my 2 cents! I'd give up packing an extra piece of clothing over tummy meds.
I agree. I think of it as insurance -- pack 'em and you won't need 'em. That said, my vote is for Pepto Bismol tablets. They are easy to pack, have a long shelf life... and Pepto works. Just my opinion based on my personal experience. - kOriginally Posted by sunluvinlaurie
I pack them year after year as well...just in case. I just looked at the Immodium tablets I have and they expired a couple years ago. Such a waste of money to buy new ones again only to throw them out later. I do have some Pepto tablets packed and hopefully that will tide me over if need be. Friends of ours are there right now and her husband has been staying close to the room as he is not feeling well. That's what got me thinking about this. Never been sick in the 15 trips we've been....hopefully we can continue our record.
