Rum Cream to take home to the US?

Hi There! Greetings from Negril! Weather has been absolutely beautiful! We are leaving on Sat :-(. We are wondering what is the US rule as far as how many bottles of Rum Cream we can take with us... Any info is greatly appreciated!

I think it's 3 bottles per person of any type of liquor.

good question... we were told by the airport duty-free shop person that rum cream is a liqueur, therefore, it wasn't limited by the 3 litres per person. I think we ask every year, and get a different answer each time... would love a solid answer on this one... - k

I was in JA late last year and was able to bring back 8 bottles. According to US customs and border protection, there is no limit if traveling from the Caribbean (as long as it's for personal consumption)

I was told by duty free that rum cremes and wine do no have a limit, just the hard liquors...I brought home 3, remember that after customs in US, if you have a connecting flight, you have to put them into your checked bag and pray they don't break.....

There is no limit on Rum Cream. I asked at Customs at O'Hare in Chicago. The customs agent told me there is a limit on rum not rum cream. I have never had any problems bringing back rum cream back to the U.S. Last year I brought back 4 bottles back from Mobay airport to Chicago.

TSA seems to have relaxed the rules for carry on duty free liquor for flights that connect http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/31/travel...-free-liquids/

TSA made me put it in my checked bag after customs at O'Hare for my flight back to Omaha...said I wouldn't be able to get it past them in next Terminal.....wasn't going to take chance having to leave it behind....
