Tensing Pen-Those who have stayed on the property

So this is our first stay at Tensing Pen!
    Some guestions..
What is with in 5 min walking distance?
How was your water experience? Are there many places to jump in? How was the snorkleing?
Breakfast? Complimentary is basic I hear. French toast.. eggs?? Pricing?
    Drink pricing??
    Dinner? Attire? Casual?

Not our first trip to the cliffs..one of many but first here. Any thing else we should know?

Within 5 min walking or less...
Pretty much right across the street...
    Sharks
    Ahhh Bees burgers
    Ras Rodys Ital
Right next door Catcha Falling Star...Ivan's for dinner
    Short walk to Ricks
5-10 min walk to Seastar inn for the Saturday night show.
Tensing has plenty of places to access the water and a great bridge to jump from.
We always just got the complimentary breakfast...
Juices, toast, breads, cereal, granola, fresh fruit, coffee...more than enough.
Drinks were expensive...stock up at the grocery across the street...go to Ivan's after 5:00pm and hang at the bar there.
Dinner is casual, although you can dress up if you want...the food is very good.
Tensing pen is a beautiful tranquil property...you will love it

The bridge at tensing is amazing. The water experience there rivals the beach in my opinion, as it is so secluded, and you have the cove to yourself often. Jennifer, the chef is amazing. She will make you something not on the menu if you ask. Owen brought me breadfruit so I could try it one year. The complimentary breakfast is fine... Fruits, juice, breads and jams. Their other breakfast offerings are not bad, but it almost always go the Jamaican route if not doing complimentary.

Lorax is right... The bar is expensive. However you have the mini mart across the street, and ahhbees has been hopping the last couple trips for evening drinks.

Which room are you staying in? That place is amazing... Once you go, it can really keep you coming back. The staff are just so nice. And the dogs... If you are a dog lover, pack a few biscuits. Breezy will be your guard dog for a week if you give her a biscuit. On our last trip, they actually came and took the dogs away from us, as they were scaring the guests for a wedding. We hang out in the hammock hut by the bar, and they would bark at anyone walking by. At night, they slept in the living room of the place we rented. I miss that place....

We have 2 rooms. My kids are in the Garden Studio-(19 24, 25) and we are in the Middle Pillar. This is there 3rd stay my....5th or 6th. Visited the property last Sept. Couldnt remember what was right near it. Love your feed back. Both my older 2 have dogs and are thrilled that they will have friends for our stay!

It is a beautiful property. The vibe changes a bit with the guests, I think.
We stayed when there was a group for a wedding & felt very much like outsiders.
So, we made our own fun!

Love, love, love the food at Shark's, which is right across the street from Tensing Pen. Delicious & reasonably priced food. I had the snapper dinner for about $10. (& I'm still hankering for it! lol)

& walk a bit past Rick's to LTU Pub. They do breakfast, lunch & dinner. A little more expensive. Good food & nice atmosphere. Traffic isn't as bad on that end (other than near Rick's @ sunset) so it's not a bad walk.

Eddies De-Bar or Push Cart, both for food and drinks, just a few minutes walk. Just Natural for breakfast. Ocean is very accessible to snorkle & swim. The bar area is small and never seemed very busy, prices were a bit high. Over all a very nice property.

They have floats. Snorkle gear is availabe but they charge for it. I dont remember how much, but not expensive. Another thing about the bar is that it is not really staffed to be slinging drinks all day. You really need to plan on filling your fridge with beer/mixers. My avatar is from the veranda of Middle Pillar - that's a great spot.

    Swimming is second to none.
    Countless levels to jump from.
Snorkelling is not great...but you will see dolphins early in the am...famous vincent will boat over and take you to the reef cheap

5 second walk ras roddy and Catcha Falling Star
    5 minutes DeBar LTU

Complimentary breakfast is good enuff for me but they have plenty of pay ptions

Prices on resort are similar to Bar Restaurant at home. Cheaper can be found but good atmosphere and great food. Stock up at Wise choice on redstripe and rum if this is a concern
