tipping

My very lovely Jamaican lady works at a resort in the negril. she tells me that although they are busy no one is tipping. it is my understanding that the average resort worker makes approximately 80 dollars US per week for a 40 hour week. everything is more expensive now ru taxis food services etc. it is extremely difficult for these people to make ends meet. tips are what make it possible for them to live a better life. Europeans are not known for being a big tippers Canadians and US folk we need to do better. if you get great service show them your appreciation just don't be a slugg and sit there.

My resort adds a percentage to our rent for the tip pool which gets paid out 2x/year. I tip outside of that at the end of my stay. I tip each person individually except I do not tip the manager.

Accompong , this has nothing to do with Western Union. it's about the cheap sobs who don't tip. I've been coming to Jamaica since 1969.

when we were there we did not see anyone tip except us! Where we stayed it was full of Germans. Nice folks, just no tipping~

"I serve the Americans the fastest. Then the Canadians. Then Everyone else" with a grin.
