I know first hand how difficult it is for one's good friend in Jamaica to make it on cheap wages and high cost of living. In my case, my good friend was not lying about the need as I believe that the "OP" (whatever that stands for) is not being lied to either.
I did the "Western Union" fandango for a time to make things a likkle better for them and I would have appealed to others to help through tipping etc. to make things better for them and ease the financial strain on me.
I saw a likkle of myself in that post and responded accordingly.
Didn't mean it to dis Respect "OP" in anyway.
