Mayfield falls is about one hour from Negril...it's a nice trip, lots of fun. Broken record but last year was one of the special ones and I look to seek out more boardies to enrich my experiences.

YS is also wonderful but not quite as much of an interactive adventure. Mayfield is like living in the travel agents brochure...bring water shoes and if you are out of shape, as I am, plan on taking things slow esp the steps getting up to the road... I survived it and sure you will too.
You may find your kids get stricken with juvenile sand gravity and elect to beach it all day every day. That is perfectly good and natural too.
