Discovery Falls

I was wondering if Discovery Falls just outside of Negril is open for business?

Not sure, they are mostly busy selling bottled water now. They may open back up for high season.

"selling bottled water"???? What does that mean? Are they botteling the water at Discovery Falls? Sounds strange given the fact that Jamaica has such good tap water.

Yes thats what they are doing and selling it around Negril, next week when I am there I will try to find Scott and see if they plan on opening up this season.

That would be nice. We will be there in 3 weeks. I found Scott to be a facinating guy and would love to talk to him again sometime.

I saw him the last few times driving around Negril in a silver Ford van delivering water? Any way I will try and track him down while I am there.

Any updates on the status of Discovery Falls? Is it open, and if so, is it open for zip lining, swimming, and is the bar/restaurant up and running? I sure hope it is, a very nice plce to visit close to Negril, with great views. Thanks for sharing any first hand or reliable information. I have friends going to Negril next month and would like to know if it is all systems go at Discovery Falls, before I recommend they head there for an afternoon.

When we went in May of 2011 he opened the zip-line because we had 4 of us that wanted to zip and 1 non zipper. The restaurant was not open at that time but he said we could bring our own food. I thought the place was great but have no updated information.

Good moning rjonsun,
I did a drive around one day and I happened to drive by Discovery Falls main gate (only gate ?). There where 2 people in front talking and I stopped to ask directions to see if I was still going in the right direction to where i wanted to come out at. We got to chatting and they said that DF was not in operation at this time. This was mid Febuary 2014.
