Two friends came to Negril for just 2 nights. They went to Hedo on a night pass the first day, and had such a good time they were going back for a day/night pass for the next day. They begged me to come along... I met up with them there on a night pass (6pm).
I didn't get to see the beach area or much of the property, I want to come back on a day/night pass sometime. The property is very nice, spread out, everything I saw was very clean and in good maintenance. The food was very good and nicely presented. I made a salad, sampled several desserts and some cheese, we got a 9pm rez at Harry San restaurant - hoped for sushi but its a basic hibachi meal served with seaweed salad, miso soup, plantain tempurah, and a rice & fish roll. There were many food choices at the buffet, they even had fresh fruit at night. Drinks were good, their standard is on the weak side which I liked as I got to try different drinks and enjoy a buzz without being drunk. Later I had french fries and barbecue jerk chicken wings, also good. There was a live band and singer (s?) at dinner.
There was a group of 60 there (+ other guests) with a good vibe at sunset/dinner/glow party at the pool. You couldn't not make a friend. People wore all sorts of clothing and costume, anything from Saturday morning in your favorite faded underpants to dress and tie nice with ‘burning man trainee’ in between. It was ‘naughty schoolgirl’ night so lots of little plaid skirts, midriff tops and knee socks with high heels. The party went on until about 1am, then folks dispersed around the property. We spent a little time at the hot tubs which reminded me of photos of Snow Monkeys at a steam pool. I was leaving shortly so just plopped in a chair to rest fully clothed and no one said anything. There is a bar and snack bar that stays open late by the hot tubs. Also the club was in swing but we didn't get up there.
It was a really nice all-inclusive experience at a very reasonable price. Single women or couples are $50/person for day OR night pass or $75 for day AND night pass. Single men pay double ($100 or $150 for day & night). I think it would be a fun 'excursion' for a group of boardies.
