We are staying at Traveller beach resort next week and will probably skip lunches, where are good places for breakfast and dinner?

try Coconut International- a 7-10 min walk up the beach from Traveller's
Family run w/primo lobster omlettesalong with other well prepared local dishes-
serving breakfast, lunch & dinner
Cafe Goa for breakfast, just down the road. Coffee and banana pancakes is the ticket.
If you want a real Jamaican dinner without all the formalities, be sure to go to "one mile", otherwise known as Uprising Bar and Cafe. No signs to it, you have to ask the locals. Jeanne runs it, and tell her "teacher" sent you. Two of you can eat and drink for about $10, and the food is better than the tourist restaurants. You'll get a limited menu, but ask what she has, and get either large or small, and eat at the bar right next to the kitchen. Drinks are more than reasonable, and with the food you'll get the veggies and dumplings that the Jamaican's have as part of their cuisine, but the tourists don't get.

Another place for dinner that never fails is Chicken Lavish, on the cliffs road. Opposite the new Shark Bait or whatever restaurant. Doc has run this place forever, and the food is always GREAT. Let him know that Dave from Vermont sent you, and be sure to have the curried conch, as well as the conch soup. Prices good, service good, and it's a real treasure of Negril!

The conversation with Doc is honestly one of the best parts of eating at Chicken Lavish. That man has an opinion about everything, and will gladly give you as many as can fit into the time to prepare and eat your dinner. He also has the best coleslaw anywhere, but that is still secondary to his chat time.
Collie International across the beach road from Chances. Good food great prices.
go to Fatties, right across the street from Travellers. A lovely lady and one of my favorite places to eat. She's open for breakfast n lunch.
Best Jamaican hands down.

I am staying at travellers during that time as well. I eat breakfast there everyday usually. It is really good. The fresh fruit smoothies are to die for. Looking forward to meeting you!!
