One thing that I have noticed when I travel and meet new people......If you ask an American where they are from they will give you a city or a state in the U.S. If you ask a Canadian where they are from, they will say "Canada." Just an observation.

Just my take on this. I say Canada or western Canada because saying Saskatchewan most often produces a "deer in the head lights" expression.

I can say it, have a good handle on where it is but if asked to spell I may give you a deer in the head lights look, then short circuit. When in Negril, no math or spelling. It's a survival mechanism.

I like to say that if your walking the beach and you pass someone who doesn't make eye contact-European, eye contact and a quick smile or hello-Canadian, a smile and hello and a conversation-American.

And, when I mentioned the 177,000 Jamaicans in Toronto, our population for the Greater Toronto Area is 4 million .. so we are not that small lol and when they move the snow .. they move it. We are a mini New York :-) only with over 100 cultures .. not sure how many in New York?

Let's not forget your "national" game, the fastest sport on 2 feet.
