It's raining Canadians!

I'm from the states, but my mom is French Canadian from a little town 3 hours north of Quebec city in the middle of nowhere. My wife, who I met when she went to grad school in New Haven- her father grew up in the little English speaking town right next door from my mom's, but they never knew knew each other. After spending much time with with family on both sides - my take on Canadians of various sorts is they are nice, polite, thoughtful, civilized, and pleasant, until, of course, they pick up a hockey stick.
Since the only ice found in Jamaica is in a rum punch- they are therefore quite safe to interact with.
