This is a fun post! Some observations:

Somebody asked if this a hockey forum. If you're talking about Canadians, it's gonna run to hockey eventually. That's just who we are. You can't talk about Canucks without hockey coming into the convo.

In a playful mood: Tim Horton's versus Dunkin Donuts? Comments anyone? (TeeHee)

Bless you, Buckeye (I wanna hear what's behind that name!) for not knowing what a "SUB" is. I provided a lot a laughs to a previous thread with my ignorance on that! Apparently it has nothing to do with the product of Subway! It has to do with self-rolled, smokable items made with tobacco and some of JA's local herbs! 'nuff said!

Reading thru this, I got to thinking about Road Hockey. Another version of our Favourite Pastime. A road hockey game on the Cliff Road! Giving a whole new meaning to - and decibel level to - CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone game?

I am Canadian. I do not drink beer (there is a special section on our Passport applications for non-beer drinkers, that needs to be notarized, but, I am Canadian ... eh?) and while I love Jamaica, the people, the vibe, the music, the culture - it is the weather I go back for. The other stuff are plusses. I mean, really? Some have posted 'it's not for the weather". Well, it is for me. When you live in a country with 9 months of winter and 3 months of poor skiing - it's the weather that is the ORIGINAL draw. You could take the Jamaican vibe/culture/food/people/music and put it on Baffin Island .. and I am not sure how many of us would go there, versus Jamaica! Probably not a lot - certainly not moi! And NOT in February! (we have gone regularly in summer, and it's awesome! I highly recommend it!)

I am from Quebec and if you hear me say 'aboot", I am probably talking about protective footwear that I have to wear November to ?????? (somebody tell me when I can wear my flip flops!!!!) . They keep my toes from falling off!

If it's raining Canadians, be happy! We are warm for the first time in 3 months and not freezing our Royal Canadian Nay Nays off!
We drink good, we are happy. We love where we are and who we are with.

I do say "eh" a lot. But that's OK.

I AM Canadian! Eh?
