I was there a couple weeks ago for the first time. It is a nice place. This was our second attempt at a cliff stay. We decided it will probably be our last. Way to quiet for my taste. I like the buzz of the beach.

Cliffs are a way quieter environment than the beach for sure. We are now cliff people ourselves, but try and squeeze a beach day in for the very reason... The buzz.

Pretty awesome spot…we stayed in a Pillar House…but IMO too small of rooms but loved the views and loved listening to the waves!
Good location for walking to a few different restaurants….We went to Xtabi lots for breakfast and then our next trip we spent at Xtabi.
If you like going into the ocean I'd def pick Xtabi, over Samsara. 3Dives is really close also!! Love that place too.
We had a great time, like we do every time!

Watch out for the owner / manager... he's a strange, awkward guy. Employees seem uncomfortable around him.

The beer on tap is NOT Red Stripe.

If you have a problem (leaky ceiling, non-working A/C, etc) they will give you lip service but not actually fix anything. Report a problem at the desk in the morning and when you check up in the afternoon when nothings been done they don't know what you're talking about and have no record of the problem. This will happen repeatedly if you have any issues. If you talk to someone at the front desk in the morning, you'll get a different answer later in the day. Want to store things in a safe? That's extra, and it's not in your room, it's at the front desk.

The hot tub was warm, not hot... and the water was green... and no bubbles.

Property is nice but not luxurious, not at their prices. The all-inclusive food is edible, but not quality.

That said we had a good time, enjoyed relaxing on the cliffs, the view is amazing, but there are so many other places to stay we probably won't go back.

Plenty of "interesting" stories about this place, search on the forum and you'll find lots more.

I stayed here a few nights a couple of years ago. Did not purchase the A I. They said I could daily for 40 bucks. Ate only one meal there. 15 $ buffet. Chicken. Burgers. Fish. Worth 15 bucks. I had booked the cheapest room. Got lucky. Room above the scuba shop on the end. No a/c. View was excellent. They have rooms across the street. Make sure on your booking. Cliff jumping was cool. Went diving one day. They had a free beach shuttle to their sister property. Pool was ok. Room and property ok. For what I paid I was satisfied. I now stay at more private places like citronella or the sea cottages at xtabi..

    Food reminds me of cafeteria.
We were directed to the room behind the hammock in the above pic. It helped us determine that we would not return. Room was very damp and dark and full of mosquitoes. Once we complained about bugs the Staff did come and spray which was helpful for a time although by this time my partner was covered in welts. Had originally requested a different room however upon arrival this was what we were given and although we tried to negotiate a move to another room this fell on deaf ears. I do know that some rooms/cottages offer a more desirable stay as my son stayed in a cottage several years ago and it was enjoyable for the monies paid.
    Pool and grounds were fine.
I have been to Ja more than 100 times but this is the only location that has now been crossed off of my list of future possibilities. From my experience Samsara does not offer the same relaxed Jamaican vibe from Staff as most other options. I would suggest that you get what you pay for...barely...as this is one of the low cost/low end choices.

    Staff is unhelpful....at best

Food...bleh (however their restaurant across the street is good. Ciao Jamaica)

Room was adequate, but I'm super low maintenance. (Did not get the room that I originally booked and the receptionist couldn't be bothered so whatever)

    No vibe whatsoever

Cliffs are great for diving etc

My $0.02 is your money would be better spent somewhere else. There are SO many cool cliff properties that have affordable options. I stayed at Samsara because I was on a serious budget but now that they've gone up on their rates I would never book there again. There are just too many better options out there imo.
