Rooms on the Beach security and vendor question

Just wondering how good the security is at Rooms? From what I've read it sounds like they're good during the day, but what about at night?

The other question is the vendors. We've stayed up the beach at CoCo & CC, just wondering if we can expect to see the same vendors? Not sure where some of them hit the beach, or if they just work a small area? We'll be looking for Flex (juice guy), Neville & Norman (Patties), Dean (jerk pork) - do they all work that area of the beach as well? I'd love to see Miss Cortisse too but for some reason I don't think she goes that far towards town.

    Thanks!

The security at Rooms is the only ones who ever intercepted me from visiting without first checking with a guest. I was trying to visit Kevan. I was shocked!

Excellent. They wouldn't let a friend visit without ID. Street side and beach side is well guarded. I really felt safe at Rooms.

Thanks everyone - good to hear!

Glad to hear the vendors are the same, Mr. Nutz would be really upset if he couldn't get his OJ from Flex every morning

My wife & I stayed at "Rooms" for 10 nights late April 2013.
Security is excellent; female security guards at beach entrance & road.
Extremely efficient; felt safe at all times ! Yes, Norman the pattie guy shows up
12:00 -12:30 ish. The barrier (yellow wall), is great for keeping the beach peddlars away!
Plus Myrna's convenience store is literally 50 feet away for inexpensive Red Stripes.

Security is on point at Rooms! As a solo traveler I felt very safe at Rooms both day and night...And the convenience store right next door is the best for late nite snacks etc...

Just got back from a three week stay. First week at Coco and had a standing order with Flex each morning. Unfortunately, he does not venture down to that end where Rooms is, and we moved to Rooms for the next two weeks, but met Ricky and his juice was as good and on spot each morning as well. Had a standing order with him and if he was there earlier than me, he would leave it with Sandy, the lady who is set up just to the right of the property, in her fridge for me! The patty man was there and you will hear him coming now as we brought him a bell for his bicycle so you will hear him ring ring ring his way along the beach!! He was more than thrilled to receive this.
