I have stayed at Roots 4-5 times on sole visits. Basic room, no frills - but I am outdoors all day and 1/2 the night, so no problem. It is center beach and near all the "action". Never paid anywhere near the $70 price quoted above - you can get a much better rate if you ask (cash is king).
