Roots Bamboo

Would like to hear some feedback on Roots Bamboo from some boardies who have stayed there.

Used to tent there 25 years ago with our two little kids. It was awesome then. I have 2 buddies that stayed there this Feb. The rooms with bath are quite adequate. No tv, no ac, but no problem if you only use your room to sleep and wash. For in the $70 range, pretty decent.

A thread about Roots Bamboo was started here pretty recently(within the last 2 months). Lots of comments, info., and different opinions were posted. I have stayed at Roots 4-5 times on sole visits. Basic room, no frills - but I am outdoors all day and 1/2 the night, so no problem. It is center beach and near all the "action". Never paid anywhere near the $70 price quoted above - you can get a much better rate if you ask (cash is king).

Just remember the shows there 3 times a week, late loud nights and a lot of less desirables wandering around out front.
