Ivan's On Christmas Day?

Hi All -- FIRST POST --WoopWoop!
My husband and I have been to Negril 3x's and have loved every moment. We'd never stay in an AI (not our style) so we have been able to eat and enjoy the local scene. For casual dining we love Murphy's/Three Dives. For finer dining we like Ivan's/Canoe & even Kuyaba.
This year, we've convinced my parents to ditch the pots & pans and spend the Chistmas Holiday in Negril. My sister and her husband will be joining as well. ALL first timers. I am trying to make Christmas Day dinner special. Ivan's was my first thought, but I'd love to hear your input.
Something traditional, something fun, nothing too rustic (it will be there first day there) - would it be too much to ask for some lights? (My mom's already asked about a tree, ive told her, sure - a palm tree). I've been told Charela maybe?
