early-er i was jogging
..ran to Lucea town

in/at/around one of the plazas
..i window-shopped at the various bizness-es

you always gotta look around when you return to Jamaica. 'Cause *things* change-change sooo fast/quickly::: a bizness open today, and gone tomorrow, or moved to a new location.

today, i *discovered* a new computer place
...they had lots of laptops for sale and other computer accessories::: cameras, flat screen monitors, etc etc.

as i strolled around, in my jogging gear
...my 20+ year old jogging shorts
....with the French-cut pon the sides
.......folks ~~~primarily ladies~~~ all-ways wanna mess wit me

one lady customer walked up to me::>> "..Straigthen your shorts.."

you was *concerned* 'cause things weren't *proper*
....the front seam, where a zipper would be was skewed to the left.

Jeezus...WHY dem so fussy..??..

i adjusted the shorts

Then she said:::>> "...You should wear briefs, man.."
"..Noooooooooo_Sir..... It's TOO-hot for briefs.. i never wear briefs in Jamaica.."

she looked at some of her girlfriends and said something-something in Patois::>> "..blah blah raaa raaa .....man stick up/out... blah blah raa raa.."

they chuckled & lowered their heads

i left the store as they-all continued chatting, and looked to see if my shorts were adjusted *proper*-ly

anyhooooooooooooooo....

not much later
..mi still in running shorts
.....strolling, jogging etc around Lucea town, i went thru a short-cut along a alley/passage-way
.......going to pass thru the bus park

mi minding my bizness
not bother-ing no-one

SUDDENLY::>> pure confusion

there was all this hollering, laughter, shouting, cat-calls, etc. from 'bout 20-30 female vendor ladies as i passed thru

i should have gone to the police station to protest

as i type, i'm looking at one of those humungous Jamaican-pear (aka '.avacado.')

oh:::>> earlier was chatting with landlord about his rude-grandchildren (from foreign)

he mention-ed (just as i suspected) that the longer they've been here the more disciplined they've become. It was great watching the foreign-pickney inter-act with the resident-pickneys. Seems-like the couth-ness and good-behavior is rubbing-off on the foreigners. They'll be here another 2-weeks or so. Will be changed-children when they get back to Canada.

the answer IS:::>> NO..!!..
children love Jamaica
especially if they have Jamaican children to play-with

in fact, they don't even have to be the same age as the foreign child
...and an extra-bonus (from my observation) is that even the Ja-adults will help-out and make sure the children are *entertained* and taken-care of.

My Currency Cheat ~~~~~ i keep it with me ALL the time
pull it out EVERY-time i need it, and wanna double check prices
and compare to back-home in foreign prices

so,
when you come to Jamaica
be SURE to have your cheat sheet
Don't leave home without it
....and use it..!!..

Usually, by now, I can juggle-money-things in my head
