Seastar.... Sorry. In the form of a question. "Where is Seastar". Answer: where I will be in 24 hours!!
Sounds great....the real single digit fidget.
YesMon, close to single digit hours now... Never gets old.
Hey Weathermon - see you have stayed at Rayon - how was it? Easy to get to the beach?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry - not directed at me- but I have stayed there and absolutely loved it. Right across the street from the beach. We used Rondel's Beach as basecamp, which they have always been ok with so long as you are buying drinks and/or food. ( Which is the case at almost every other place you want to hang your hat )
We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and it was very clean and nice. Quiet place with a great pool and restaurant.
Sorry - had to chime in and give them a plug. Now stay tuned for weather...![]()
The beautiful grounds at Seastar are under Francine's supervision. The plantings are the best.
I missed a day somewhere....retirement is hard.
These pics were from Seastar in Negril, Jamaica.
The Rayon was just what we needed - secure, clean, quiet, convenient for us. If you are looking for a non-stop party place, this is not it.
The pool is usually clean and the bar is open evenings but wasn't real busy when we were there. Other than breakfast, we only ate one meal there and it was probably the best dinner we had in the 16 days in Negril - curry goat and whole steamed fish.
The staff is most accommodating and Pansy (owner/manager) is most generous. We liked it so well that we booked April and December for this year.
The WiFi is awesome, they have 2 systems to cover the property. Breakfast is included with most deals and is a full breakfast; not huge, but not continental (rolls and coffee) either. Coffee is provided every morning at the restaurant beginning around 7:45 AM. They even called our room when the coffee was ready!!!
Our room was small but clean. (We had to book at the last minute for the holidays.) The rooms on either side of ours are huge. Our room included a small fridge, 2 balconies - one east and one west, a queen bed, A/C, ceiling fan. There was no safe in the room; but we have a travel safe that will thwart most thieves of convenience.
Sun Beach can be used for beachin' it. Nice bar, big beach, decent food. Umbrellas for shade. We mostly used the CoCoLaPalm because we have stayed there so often and we live in the shade of the almond and grape trees. Best In The West is right there and we ate there 5 or 6 times. Never tire of that place.
Anyway, if you are looking for accommodations which are a little less expensive, but are concerned about not being on the beach, this is the place. Crossing the road was never an issue.
