Simpler times then. Loved the entire experience in the 1970s. Exciting and a dramatic culture shock. Negril felt like a hidden secret. Most folks headed to Jamaica had never heard of Negril. Only young people went to Negril. Air Jamaica flights felt exotic. Loved descending the stairs onto the tarmac. Listed to happy music as we walked through the terminal. A small glass of rum punch shoved into my hand as I walked through the terminal. What fun! There was a band playing in the baggage claim area when we arrived a few weeks ago--made me smile. The musicians were good, but they seemed tired, sitting on the side of the huge terminal room in chairs. Need more $ now: Premium seat upgrades, Club MoBay fast-track service, and refreshments are no longer free. Now lots of older people head to Negril
