Love Paul the bartender at White Sands. He's older, and quiet, but wonderful to observe. Watching him pour...all sorts of liquids into the blender, amazed me. So creative. He doesn't know it, but last year he inspired me to spend start experimenting, creating blender drinks. Mixologist in training? The last two visits, my last visit was almost two weeks ago, I bought fabulous juices from Tony, and from...what is the name of that other juice guy (?), on the beach. I bought fresh fruit, watch out for bananas, they are so ripe, they overpower the other juices. I bought coco rum and rum from the convenience store on the beach (Seasplash?), and began mixing and blending different drinks in the blender, in my room. Someone left nutmeg in my room---a must in blender drinks. It was fun to try different ingredients, and give samples to my friends on the beach. Next year (and I just booked next year's trip ), I plan to bring a package of small cups, to create samples. Anyway, the daily two-for one is sometimes a good deal. The Dirty Bananas would be better with Tia Maria, not some other coffee alcohol. Watch out for the Jamaican Delight on Saturday--a simple drink, but must be overproof rum and pineapple juice.
